'dinner at my place' was concieved during an argument between the creator of the site and his sister about whether technology had it's place in the kitchen. As any sibling may attest, Paul knew that the only way that he could definitively win the argument (and silence his sister for all time, no easy feat in itself) was indesputible proof. Using knowledge from his past in food service, love for cooking and his job as a programmer, Paul envisioned a recipe site that focuses on ease of use and innovation. 'dinner at my place' is the result of hours of coding and even more hours of discussion (*cough* arguing *cough*)...

Passionate about food? Overwhelmed with planning? This site is designed to make your life easier when preparing and hosting dinner parties.
So how does 'dinner at my place' answer your entertaining prayers? By selecting the recipes you want to prepare, 'dinner at my place' will figure out if there are any conficts and alert you. A shopping list that automatically calculates the proper ingredients for any number of guests you envision your perfect dinner to hold. Then 'dinner at my place' parses out the steps and arranges them so that all dishes finish at the same time (appetizers are the exception, they finish 15 minutes earlier than main & side dishes). 'dinner at my place' walks you through all the steps to make cooking as easy as humanly possible. Complete with kitchen timers, helpful tips, and suggestions, is there anything 'dinner at my place' can't do? Maybe not flambe, that would be dangerous.

I don't need to register, why should I?
Registration is an easy process that gives you a ton of benefits. Benefits include the ability track your progress, gauge your culinary skill set, maintain a recipe database, and even win awards. Additionally, you can register using an existing internet account (facebook/gmail/myspace/twitter/aol/openid), so registration only takes a second.
